José Pombo was born in Colombia. He has been studying cinema for three years in Barcelona. Later, he decided to turn his passion for photography in a profession and became a photographer. Since then, the primary themes of his work are portrait, social and street photography, the night and its universe.
The photographers who inspire him are Robert Capa, William Klein, Robert Frank, Helmut Newton, Bruce Gilden, and Antoine d’Agata.
Since 2001, José Pombo lives in Brussels.
